Royal IHC announced today the successful delivery of two cutter suction dredgers to a customer in Vietnam.

According to IHC, last month the company handed over two CSDs, an IHC Beaver 70 and an IHC Beaver 45, to Xuan Thien Group at Nam Dinh province.

General Manager of Xuan Thien Group, Mr. Nguyen Huy Hoang noted that the two dredgers will be deployed to create a reclamation area for the construction of the Xuan Thien Nam Dinh green steel complex.

As reported by the spokesman of Xuan Thien Group, the factory will use green electricity generated by solar, wind and hydro power in replacing of coal material to produce green steel which will reduce CO2 emission significantly.

Going on the spokesman further stated that Royal IHC has been selected as the preferred supplier of dredging equipment because of their proven focus on innovation and sustainability which matches the strategy of Xuan Thien.

Construction works on Phase 1, dredging and land reclamation for the new facilities, are to begin shortly and will continue well into 2023.
