The City of Sunny Isles Beach has just released this beautiful video of their sand renourishment project, conducted by Eastman Aggregate Enterprises, LLC of Lake Worth, Florida.

The $8.6 million project is part of the Miami-Dade County Beach Erosion Control and Hurricane Protection Project.

Eastman crews will place approximately 140,000 cubic yards of sand on more than 4,400 feet of critically eroded shoreline in two locations, including both sides of the Newport Pier and at the north end of the city.

The city also said in their latest project update that the contractor is currently working at the north area of Ellen Wynne Beach Access, 192nd Street.
