Following completion of the Town of Duck Beach nourishment project, Great Lakes Dredge and Dock Company moved all operations to the towns of Kill Devil Hills and Kitty Hawk.
The three dredges that were working in Duck, the Dodge, Liberty and Padre Island are now dredging/nourishing beaches in Kitty Hawk and Kill Devil Hills.
Last week, the beach fill work has moved just north of Arch Street in Kill Devil Hills and extended to approximately Sibbern Avenue in Kitty Hawk.
Dare County recently released an update on the ongoing operations in Kitty Hawk, Kill Devil Hills, and Buxton.
