Rahway River Draft up for Comments

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, New York District, has just announced the availability of the Draft Integrated Feasibility Report/Environmental Assessment for the Rahway River Coastal Storm Risk Management Study and the opening of the 30-day public comment period on the report.

The public comment period ends on June 30, 2017.

With the passage of Public Law 113-2, the Disaster Relief Appropriations Act of 2013, the Army Corps has been provided the authority and funding to complete ongoing coastal storm risk management projects and studies in the Northeast, including this project. The focus of this coastal storm risk management study is tidally affected area within the Rahway River Basin.

This Draft Integrated Feasibility Report and Environmental Assessment has been prepared to document the formulation and evaluation of plans to address coastal storm risk management in the Rahway River Basin and the significance of potential environmental impacts of the Tentatively Selected Plan (TSP) recommended in the report.
