Evosun Sdn Bhd Malaysia has just announced that the Meemu atoll Muli reclamation project in the Republic of Maldives is now successfully completed.

Under the $6.4 million scheme, funded by Government of Maldives, Evosun created 40 hectares of new land by using more than 1 million cubic meters of sand. For this project, the company used their IHC Beaver 1600 dredger.

The Maldives’ Ministry of Housing and Infrastructure signed the Meemu atoll Muli land reclamation contract with Maldives Transport and Contracting Company (MTCC) on March 11, 2014.

The ceremony, held at the Maldives’ Ministry of Housing and Infrastructure, was attended by Minister of Housing and Infrastructure, Dr. Mohamed Muizzu, MTCC Chief Executive Officer, Mr. Ahmed Shiyam Ali, and Meemu atoll council members.

In August 2014, MTCC contracted with Evosun Sdn Bhd to carry this land reclamation program.
