Ireland’s Department of Agriculture, Food and the Marine, has just released an invitation to tender for marine civil engineering consultancy services associated with the Dredging of Navigation Channel at Dingle Fishery Harbor Center.

The department is calling for a consultancy firm with expertise in civil and marine engineering to prepare a Preliminary Report, detailed design and tender documentation.

The project involves the following broad parameters: dredging the North-South leg of the channel to have a new width of 60m to a dredged level of 2,6m Chart Datum; provision of a turning basin to a dredged level of 5m Chart Datum.

The dredging will include removal of the underlying seabed material. Some of the seabed material may be contaminated with TBT.

The deadline for sending proposals is March 21st 2016.
