The Panama Canal Expansion continues to make steady progress, currently 93% complete.

After an initial testing phase where the lower chamber of the new locks were filled, preliminary tests of the new gates were executed successfully.

The process of removing the plug separating the ocean waters from Agua Clara locks in the Atlantic has begun.

Parallel work presses ahead with testing in other areas; the removal of the strip of land separating the new Cocolí Locks from the Pacific Ocean, and the culmination of the Pacific Access Channel work.

This short video shows the ocean waters uniting the Atlantic Ocean for the first time.
