The Environment Agency recently released a video about the £92.3 million Boston Barrier project being developed in Boston on the east coast of Lincolnshire and how residents have been involved in the tidal flood defense scheme to date.
The Boston Barrier project comes as a partnership between the Environment Agency, Lincolnshire County Council, Boston Borough Council and Black Sluice Internal Drainage Board, who are all working together to reduce the risk of tidal flooding to over 17,000 properties in Boston.
If the project is approved, construction can begin on the barrier in 2017 and be completed by late 2019.
