Neumann Contractors, a Queensland based dredging, fabrication and civil contractor, has just announced that their steel fabrication department started the works on the 3rd dredger for their 250 mm cutter suction dredger (CSD) range.
Works on this dredging machine, which will expand their current dredging fleet, are progressing on time and under budget.
Thus far the Engine Room/Cabin have been delivered for fit out and currently they are fabricating the pontoons. This range of dredgers are designed to be ultra-portable.
The dredger can be easily and cost effectively transported to anywhere in the world in two 40′ shipping containers and it can be assembled on the water, reducing the cranage requirements for launching and retrieving the vessel.
Total dry weight of the assembled dredger is approximately 20.5 tonnes.
