Jan De Nul Group has posted on its official facebook page this very interesting photo that shows two surveyors working in the French harbor of Cherbourg, while the trailing suction hopper dredger Taccola is dredging and reclaiming material for the 40 ha extension of the port areas.
In mid-March, the Ports of Normandy Authority (PNA) launched the large-scale extension works in this area, which will be a milestone in the history of the port’s development.
This development scheme is being managed by the company SODRACO, a subsidiary of the Jan de Nul Group, in cooperation with DTP Terrassements, a subsidiary of Bouygues Construction.
Works on the project will last 18 months.
