Jan De Nul Group has posted on its official facebook page this very interesting photo that shows two surveyors working in the French harbor of ‪Cherbourg‬, while the trailing suction hopper dredger Taccola ‎is dredging‬ and ‪reclaiming‬ material for the 40 ha extension of the port areas.

In mid-March, the Ports of Normandy Authority (PNA) launched the large-scale extension works in this area, which will be a milestone in the history of the port’s development.

This development scheme is being managed by the company SODRACO, a subsidiary of the Jan de Nul Group, in cooperation with DTP Terrassements, a subsidiary of Bouygues Construction.

Works on the project will last 18 months.
