Thanks to the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Charleston District, and Great Lakes Dredge and Dock Company the Folly Beach now looks better than ever after the major beach renourishment project.

The $30 million Folly Beach project was completed last year by pumping more than one million cubic yards of sand from the ocean onto the shore.

Renourishment of the beach was conducted as part of a 50 year agreement with the City of Folly Beach, and was the first periodic renourishment since 2005.
