Edith Maersk

The largest ship ever to enter the Thames arrived at DP World London Gateway yesterday (19th October 2014) in the early hours of the morning.

The 397-metre-long, 56-metre-wide Edith Maersk has a draught of 16 meters and can carry up to 15,500 standard containers.

With brand new state-of-the-art infrastructure and equipment, London Gateway, when fully operational, will bring greater reliability to supply chains. Also, shippers will have access to London Gateway’s 9 million square foot logistics park, Europe’s largest consumer market and existing distribution hubs in the UK’s Midlands.
