BayShore Contractors LLC, a Michigan based company specializing in heavy civil construction, dredging, environmental services and historical restoration, has been awarded a $4.5 million contract by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Chicago District.

Under the contract announced yesterday, BayShore will provide all necessary facilities, plants, labor, transportation, materials, and equipment to perform mechanical dredging of approximately 75,000 cubic yards of material from the Waukegan Outer Harbor, Waukegan, IL.

The company will also be responsible for performing mechanical dredging of approximately 80,000 cubic yards of material from the Waukegan Harbor Approach Channel.

The contract will have option quantities of dredging totaling 65,000 cubic yards.
