Port Dover Dredging Accident: Backhoe Splashes into Water (Canada)

The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) were contacted to investigate an incident at the Passmore Avenue in Port Dover, reports theloop.ca.

Two days ago, at approximately 7 pm, police were called to the mentioned place after receiving reports of a backhoe that had plunged into the water.

The large excavator slipped off a barge while it was dredging the channel leading into the marina, according to simcoereformer.ca.

Luckily, the operator was able to escape without injury.

The Ministry of the Environment and Ministry of Labour have been contacted regarding this accident.
