The Port of Port Arthur Navigation District of Jefferson County has filed a lawsuit against Weeks Marine Inc. for property damage the company allegedly caused to its facility during the dredging project, reports panews.com.

According to the lawsuit, Weeks Marine was the owner of the dredger which has damaged several wooden cluster piles at the Port’s facility, between Dec. 20, 2010, and Dec. 28, 2010.

“ Plaintiff alleges that the negligent conduct of the defendant was the proximate cause of property damage to plaintiff’s facilities, ” the suit states.
