A public meeting has been scheduled to discuss deepening the St. Johns River, according to actionnewsjax.com.

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Jacksonville District will hold the public meeting on Tuesday, May 22nd at 6:30 p.m. at the Jacksonville Port Authority Cruise Terminal, 9810 August Dr. Jacksonville, Fla.

The purpose of the meeting is to provide community members with an early opportunity to discuss the potential effects that deepening the river may have on the ecosystem and nearby properties.
