The state Commissioner for the Environment and Habitat, Mr. Wasiu Dauda, said that the Oyo State government will complete the dredging of 43 streams within Ibadan and other cities in the next two weeks.
He said the dredging of the streams would cost the government over N300 million.
“The introduction of the weekly Thursday environmental exercise was part of the measures adopted by the government to ensure a clean environment and healthy living, ” concluded commissioner.
