UK: Swathe Services Announces First Sale of SONIC 2024

Business & Finance

Swathe Services sales division is delighted to announce our first UK sale of the SONIC 2024 wideband high resolution shallow water multibeam echosounder. Within a matter of days of announcing the inclusion of the SONIC2024 in our rental pool of survey equipment we immediately supplied two systems for hire with a major UK survey company, on a contract that has now extended beyond three months and looks certain to continue to the end of the year.

Having proved the capabilities of the SONIC2024 to our client throughout this rental period we were delighted to receive an order to supply the complete SONIC 2024 system including the Valeport MiniSVS.

The flexibility, frequency and swath agility of the SONIC2024, along with its simplicity of operation, reliability and high quality data output has proved a winning combination for our clients and further orders are imminent.

Swathe Services has received an overwhelming amount of interest in the R2SONIC systems and we will be arranging demonstrations in various locations around the UK in the New Year.

In line with the recent expansion of Swathe Services, we have established a new division of the company in the UK to concentrate on providing cutting edge technology to the survey industry. Swathe Sales and Support Ltd is headed up by James Williams and will focus on equipment sales, training and support in the UK and Europe. Andy Johnson, Operations Manager, will continue to build on the success of our survey support services providing highly qualified survey personnel and equipment to marine contractors around the world under the banner of Swathe Services (UK) Ltd. Our Australian division continues to expand and develop in the capable hands of Neil Hewitt and we are now establishing representation in France which will allow us to offer local support to our European clients.
