India: DCI Celebrates World Environment Day

Dredging Corporation of India Ltd. celebrated World Environment Day on 5th June, 2012.

To mark the occasion and the theme “Green Economy: Does it include you ?” a Cycle Rally involving employees, children and morning walkers was organized.

The Cycle Rally was flagged off by Capt. D.K. Mohanty, CMD at 06.00 AM from Kalimatha Temple, R.K. Beach to Park Hotel. CMD in his brief address stressed the need to protect the Environment and also emphasized to have a clean Environment for better life. Further, he stressed upon the concept of “green Vizag and clean Vizag”.

Dr. P.K. Sethi, DGM (HSE) welcomed the gathering. Shri P.V.Ramana Murthy, Director (Fin), Cmde. P.Jayapal, Director (Ops & Tech), Shri S. Vasudeva Rao, IPS, CVO and Employees participated in the Rally.
