Newhaven Marina dredging moves ahead

The dredging operations in Newhaven Marina, conducted by ML (UK) Dredging Ltd, are in full swing.

The dredging work, which started in late November, is being carried out by the backhoe dredger Witton II.

Self-propelled split hopper barge Split Three is transporting the spoil material from the marina to the disposal ground.

Dredging at Newhaven is usually done twice a year in order to maintain adequate depth of water in the entrance channel for the Harbor and at the Marina berths.
