Josias River was last dredged in 1994 and is expected to be complete by February 2025.

The Josias River located in Ogunquit, Maine, is a small river that flows for 2.7 miles before meeting the Gulf of Maine at Perkins Cove.

The cove and entrance channel is used by recreational boaters and fishing charters primarily during the summer month and is an important home for commercial fishing vessels throughout the year.

The river is being dredged using a bucket dredge, with the material put in scows and placed at Isles of Shoals North (IOSN) disposal site.
