According to the Newhaven Port Harbour Master, the works will commence on approximately the 19th November and are expected to take up to 6 weeks.

The dredging will be carried out by the backhoe dredger WITTON II which will be permanently positioned within the confines of the marina throughout the operation.

Self-propelled split hopper barge SPLIT THREE will be transporting the spoil material from the marina to the disposal ground. The works will involve frequent passages from the harbour to the Disposal Ground, situated approximately 1 mile south of Newhaven Breakwater Lighthouse.
