USACE to award contract for Canaveral Harbor dredging works

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers will soon award contract for the Canaveral Harbor maintenance dredging project.

This project consists of maintenance dredging at Canaveral Harbor, FL, to remove approximately 1.2 million cubic yards of shoal material at Cut-1A to the West Access Channel (WAC), the Middle Turning Basin (MTB), the South Jetty Sediment Trap (SJST), the Trident Access Channel (TAC) and the Trident Turning Basin (TTB).

According to the Corps, all material will be disposed of in the designated Ocean Dredged Material Disposal Site (ODMDS), located 4.0 to 8.0 nautical miles from the designated dredging areas.

The Invitation for Bid (IFB) will be issued in mid-November 2024 and bids will be due on or about 12 December 2024.
