Sand is being transported from Kyeemagh to Brighton Le Sands and from Dolls Point to Ramsgate Beach.

For everyone’s safety, small sections of the beach at these areas will be temporarily closed and gated during this process,” the Council said.

Storm events and tidal inundation is causing significant erosion of the area, which would impact the Grand Parade within five years at the current rate of erosion.

The works are being undertaken to ensure the stability of the area and protect the foreshore from further erosion while a long-term management plan is being established.

The work is being done on Crown Land with significant funding from the NSW Government.
