Kinbidhoo land reclamation moves forward

Maldives Transport and Contracting Company (MTCC) said that the Thaa Atoll Kinbidhoo Land Reclamation Project is in full swing.

In its latest project update, MTCC noted that the reclamation operations are ongoing, with 30% completion.

The dredging operations in the area started on April 18 this year. The scope of work for the project includes:

• 25 hectares of land reclamation operations,

• 306,162 cubic meters of dredging operations, etc.

According to MTCC, the job is valued at MVR 148.2 million ($9.6 million).

The Thaa land reclamation contract was awarded to MTCC in August last year.
