Curtin Maritime wins Baltimore dredging contract

Curtin Maritime Corp., from Long Beach, California, has won a $33.4 million firm-fixed-price contract for the Baltimore Harbor and channels maintenance dredging job.

Bids were solicited via the internet with three received, the U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) said.

Work will be performed in Baltimore, Maryland, with an estimated completion date of March 31, 2025.

Fiscal 2017, 2018, 2019, 2020, 2021, 2023, 2024 and 2025 civil operation and maintenance funds; and 2017, 2018, 2019, 2020, 2021, 2024 and 2025 civil construction funds in the amount of $33,493,525 were obligated at the time of the award,” said DoD.

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Baltimore District, is the contracting activity.
