Dampier dredging campaign kicks off

Pilbara Ports announced today the start of Dampier Bulk Handling Facility (DBHF) dredging operations.

This dredging campaign is part of stage one of the Dampier Cargo Wharf Projects, creating a multi-user facility that expands the capability of the Port of Dampier.

DBHF dredging campaign will take place at the Port of Dampier from October 2024 – May 2025. During this period, split hopper barges will be towed via tugboats to the East Lewis Island Spoil Ground.

Backhoe dredger BALDUR will undertake the operations along with the barges BKA ENDEAVOUR and BKA RESOLUTION, assisted by tugs MOLLY GRACE and CAPE ARID.
