The meeting will focus on the recently published draft General Reevaluation Report (GRR) and Environmental Assessment (EA) for the Surf City Coastal Storm Risk Management (CSRM) project.

According to USACE, the Surf City CSRM project is estimated to require approximately 8 million cubic yards of sand for initial construction, which will make this project one of the largest beach nourishment campaigns ever accomplished on the East Coast.

USACE is anticipating a December 2025 start date to start placing sand on the beach. The estimated completion time would be approximately thirteen months to completion from start.

Draft GRR/EA documents are available for public review here.
