HME Construction bags Marina Del Rey dredging contract

HME Construction, Inc. of Vancouver, WA, has won the Army Corps contract for maintenance dredging of the Marina Del Rey.

The work includes removal of approximately 500K cubic yards of dredged sediment from the harbor area.

Sand dredged from the harbor will be deposited at the downcoast Dockweiler State Beach Nearshore Placement site, located approximately 2 miles south of the harbor entrance.

The project, which purpose is to restore safe navigational depths to one of the nation’s busiest man-made marinas, will begin December 28th, 2023.
