New York and New Jersey dredging job for Donjon Marine

Donjon Marine Co. Inc., Hillside, New Jersey, has won a $21.1 million firm-fixed-price contract for the New York and New Jersey Harbor maintenance dredging project.

According to the U.S. Department of Defense (DoD), bids for this program were solicited via the internet with three received.

Work will be performed in Newark, New Jersey, with an estimated completion date of October 5, 2023.

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, New York District, is the contracting activity.

The Port of New York and New Jersey is the busiest container port on the East Coast and the second busiest container gateway in the United States.

The port is typically the first port of call for the largest container vessels calling on the U.S. East Coast.
