Creating new land for Magoodhoo airport in the Maldives

Maldives Transport and Contracting Company (MTCC) has just released the latest update on its F. Magoodhoo airport development program.

This very important land reclamation and shore protection project is currently underway, with Bund Wall construction currently ongoing at the site.

Scope of works includes:

• island land reclamation operations – 17 hectares,

• airport land reclamation operations – 30.8 hectares,

• construction of a 3,339m revetment,

• a 90m groyne.

The value of the project is MVR 206.88 million ($13.4 million).
