U.S. Army Corps of Engineers says: it would be last at least three years before the Montauk Harbor Inlet gets thorough dredging

Larry Penny, East Hampton’s director of natural resources, said on Tuesday that he was shocked during a Jan. 29 meeting when representatives of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers said it would be at least three years before the Montauk Harbor Inlet and a portion of the harbor itself got the thorough dredging promised in 2002.
