Detailed programme for the WODCON XXIII now available

Central Dredging Association (CEDA) has announced that the detailed programme for global dredging summit – WODCON XXIII is now available at their website.

The theme for the WODCON XXIII is ‘Dredging is Changing’. The event is taking place in Copenhagen, Denmark, from 16th to 20th May 2022, at the Tivoli Congress Center.

Spread over three days, in 26 technical sessions, CEDA expert speakers from all over the world will address the most current and relevant topics in dredging industry, such as the beneficial use of sediments, developments of ports and waterways, turbidity modelling and monitoring, marine construction deep sea mining and many more.

Some of the programme highlights are:

Opening Ceremony
Including high level keynote addresses from:

• Trine Bramsen, Danish Minister of Transport: “Dredging is Changing”
• Henrik Vincentsen, CEO Femern: “Other large-scale projects under development within our region to follow the Fehmarnbelt Tunnel Link”

The Fehmarnbelt Tunnel Link
Various aspects of this prestigious project will be discussed in depth by the people who are closely involved in the project.

Renewables infrastructure: Energy islands
Including a keynote address from Kristoffer Bottzauw, Director General Danish Energy Agency: “Offshore wind next level: the Danish Energy Islands”

Energy Efficiency and Decarbonisation
Including a keynote address from Jakob Steffensen, Director, Innovation Lead, DFDS Seaways.

Corporate Executives Sustainability Disruption Debate
This interactive debate will cover the many dilemmas our community is facing with regard to sustainability, the driver of change. The debate will involve these key industry players:

• Lynetteholm, a tour of the 2.8 km2 artificial island being built in the harbour of Copenhagen
