Dredging Corporation of India VIDEO on TSHD XIV

Dredging Corporation of India Limited (DCI) has just released this very interesting video about their trailing suction hopper dredger (TSHD) XIV.

The following activities have been covered in this video:

• Dredging operation includes both suction tubes lifting from chalks, swing out, lower to three meters depth and on completion of dredging hoisting tubes, swing in and securing on chalks onboard;

• Dumping operation and cleaning of hopper;

• Bunkering operation;

• Going along side for receiving lub oil drums and fresh water;

• Life boat drill including launching in water, maneuvers in water and hoisting securing on davits;

• Fire drill includes SCBA operation, DCP portable fire extinguisher operation, Fire hose nozzle operation;

• Bridge operation navigational equipment;

• Pump room and Engine Room while running machinery;
