Foakaidhoo Harbour development moves forward

Maldives Transport and Contracting Company (MTCC) has just released that the work on the Sh. Foakaidhoo Harbour development is in full swing.

According to the project update, installation of precast concrete blocks required for quay wall construction started earlier this week.

Also, the construction of breakwater and revetment is currently ongoing.

The scope of the project include:

• dredging operations – 45,795cbm,

• construction of a 464m quay wall,

• a 100m revetment,

• a 507m breakwater,

• installation of 2320sqm harbor pavement,

• installation of streetlights and navigation lights.

The value of the project is MVR 52.7 million ($3.4 million).
