The dredging contract was awarded to Gidrostroy last week.

The facility will be the first of five terminals for refined petroleum and crude oil storage, which when complete, will have a total capacity of 750,000 m3.

“We are going to fulfill the work at all five objects,” the company said in their latest announcement.

“Our team has already done the preliminary discussions of the working plan and surveying works.”

The trailing suction hopper dredger (TSHD) Kenford has already arrived in the area – ready to start the dredging operations.
