Following the recent dredging campaign in the North East of Scotland, the ‘Dinopotes’ is now at work in Dundee for main contractor GRAHAM, providing dredging and revetment works.

During this campaign, the ‘Dinopotes’ will carry out 50000m3+ of capital dredging and assist FMD’s rock armoring team in the construction of a revetment for the new quayside.

Forth Ports Dundee has undergone dramatic transformation in recent times, including the addition of a permanently based 1500t quayside crane (860t @ 24m).

However, the most significant transformation is the investment of £10 million pounds to create the new quayside.

The new quayside will deliver an industry-leading heavy lift capability over its entire 200m length, with an ultra-heavy lift pad at one end.

This, coupled with a deep-water berth and significant land area of around 60 acres, will facilitate the handling of the largest cargoes.
