Preparations underway for LSLCA dredging program

The Lake Saint Louis Community Association (LSLCA) is preparing for their upcoming dredging program.

Hydraulic dredging is scheduled in Dauphine Cove no less than every seven years, per the LSLCA By-Laws.

Magruder Construction has been awarded the dredging bid for Dauphine Cove and Regatta Bay.

Also, Magruder is currently on-site at Jefferson Point fusing the pipeline together that is being installed through Pereque Creek to our silt basin at Duello Road.

Active hydraulic dredging will begin in Dauphine Cove by the second week in November. It will take approximately three weeks to finalize the installation of the pipeline, dredging equipment, pumps, tug boats, barges, and fuel barge.

Dauphine Cove will be a no-wake zone until further notice, said LSLCA.

Dredging in this cove is expected to be completed by March 2021, weather permitting.

The total cost of this project is $1.6M.

Every year, the LSLCA contributes $300K to the dredging fund in order to prepare for this process.
