The highly-respected award recognizes one individual annually who has made extensive and outstanding contributions to the dredging community.

Matthew Roger Binsfeld received WEDA’s “2019 Annual Dredger of the Year Award” in recognition of his commitment to the dredging community, to the health and safety of the workers in the dredging industry, to the importance of information sharing and for always being available to help others, reported WEDA.

When asked to summarize his experience working within the marine industry and his new title as 2019 Dredger of the Year, Binsfeld shared the following:

I am truly honored to receive this award. The Western Dredging Association is an important group for the advancement of the dredge industry in the United States, North and South America. To be recognized amongst your peers is always nice, however, I find it more so an opportunity for reflection. I have been truly blessed to have some wonderful mentors in my career, the only way I can repay them, is to pay it forward. Most of all I want everyone to know that this is an award for all of Brennan. There is not a day that goes by where I don’t think about how lucky and fortunate I am to work with so many awesome and dedicated people. Our work has great purpose and we are making a positive impact in this country because of our great team and high-quality work.”

Brennan was established 100 years ago as a family-owned company. Based on the Mississippi River in western Wisconsin, the company currently provides marine, environmental, dam, harbor, and railroad solutions.
