Anchorage $10.5M Dredging Deal for Manson

Manson Construction Co., from Seattle, Washington, has won a $10.5 million contract for the Port of Alaska Maintenance Dredging Project 2018-2020. 

Project includes surveying, dredging and disposal of approximately 3,300,000 cubic yards of shoaled material at the Port of Anchorage, Alaska and 600,000 cubic yards of sandy material at the Cook Inlet Navigation Channel, Alaska over a three year contract period.

Bids were solicited via the Internet with two received, reports the U.S. Department of Defense (DoD).

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Alaska District, is the contracting activity and it is estimated that this dredging scheme will be completed no later than May 20, 2019.
