IQPC Island Development Middle East Conference in December

Business & Finance

The IQPC Middle East will be the organizer of the Island Development Middle East Conference that will take place from 5-7 December in Dubai.

With the man-made developments like Dubai palm islands and the World project in the UAE, Amwaj islands in Bahrain and the Pearl island in Qatar, and recently announced mega projects like $1.7 billion Marsa Al Arab in the UAE and $8 billion Red Sea project in Saudi Arabia, the Middle East has become a world leader in artificial islands.

However, behind this expansion of the entire region, there are ultimate challenges, that main contractors, consultants and developer have to overcome.

Geotechnical design difficulties, risk of liquefaction, coastal erosion, sedimentation, environmental damage, choosing the right dredging and reclamation techniques – this is not the full list of problems to be resolved by experts from marine and coastal sectors while planning and constructing coastline developments.

With this in mind, IQPC Middle East will host the Island Development Middle East Conference – December 5-7 – at the Le Royal Meridien Beach Resort & Spa, Dubai, United Arab Emirates.
