The Ukrainian Sea Port Authority (USPA) has invited bidders to submit their offer for construction of new berth No. 8 in the Mykolaiv Port.

This $11.8 million development scheme will include, besides construction of the berth, a significant amount of dredging works in this area.

“The length of the berth will be 220.66 meters, depth near the berth will be 10.5 meters with a prospect of increasing it to 13 meters,” USPA said in its announcement.

Ukrainian Sea Port Authority Head, Raivis Veckagans, said that the new berth will boost the capacity of the Mykolaiv Port, opening new opportunities for the further development of the port and the region.

According to USPA, bids should be submitted no later than November 20, 2017.
