WEDA Eastern Chapter Meeting Takes Place in Providence

Business & Finance

This year’s Western Dredging Association (WEDA) Eastern Chapter Meeting will take place on October 10-12 in Providence, Rhode Island.

The conference will kickoff at 1:30pm on Tuesday, run all day Wednesday, until 5pm, and wrap-up with an ICHDMG session from 9am-noon on Thursday, reports WEDA.

According to the organizers, the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers dredging schedules will be provided in a different format this year.

On Wednesday in the adjacent ballroom, the Eastern Chapter will host a buffet lunch/breakout session from noon-1:30pm, during which time attendees can approach the various USACE district & division booths and ask project-specific questions, obtain literature, etc. After using the previous formal presentation format for several years, the board figured the same information could be shared in a more dynamic setting,” said WEDA.

All Eastern Chapter meetings will be held at the Renaissance Providence Hotel located downtown, across from the State House and just steps from the Riverwalk shops and restaurants and the Amtrak station.
