California State Coastal Conservancy Welcomes New Members

Business & Finance

The California State Coastal Conservancy (SCC) has welcomed two new members to its Oversight Board, Assemblymember Lorena Gonzalez Fletcher (D-San Diego) and Assemblymember Monique Limón (D-Santa Barbara).

The appointments, made by Assembly Speaker Anthony Rendon (D-Lakewood), entrust the new Board members to provide legislative oversight and support the Conservancy in its mission to protect, restore and enhance the California coast.

The Coastal Conservancy is a State agency established in 1976 to protect and improve natural lands and waterways.

In addition to managing projects across the California coast and providing grants to partner organizations, the Coastal Conservancy’s Climate Ready Program assists communities in adapting to the impacts of climate change and increasing the resilience of ecosystems.
