Input Invited for Jackson Hole Supplemental EA

Business & Finance

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Walla Walla District, is inviting public comments on the Jackson Hole Flood Protection Project Supplemental Environmental Assessment (SEA).

The Corps is proposing to prepare a SEA to the “1990 Jackson Hole, Wyoming, Flood Protection Project Operations and Maintenance Decision Document and Environmental Impact Statement” because project operations have changed over time, and there are new circumstances and information relevant to changing procedures and environmental conditions.

The Corps is soliciting public opinion on relevant issues and environmental effects that should be considered in the SEA.

Scoping comments will be used in:

  • identifying potential and key issues to address;
  • exploring alternatives for operation and maintenance (O&M) of the project, in addition to no action;
  • identifying potential environmental effects associated with O&M activities.

Written comments will be accepted until May 22, 2017, USACE said.
