USPA Introduces FIDIC Standards

Ukrainian Seapots Authority (USPA) has joined the Association of Engineers-Consultants of Ukraine to improve the quality of dredging and engineering documentation in accordance with the requirements of the International Federation of Consulting Engineers (FIDIC).

The relevant Memorandum of Cooperation between USPA, the Ministry of Infrastructure and the Association of Engineers-Consultants of Ukraine was signed on 21 March 2017 in the presence of the Minister Volodymyr Omelyan.

The work of USPA in accordance with FIDIC standards, in particular, using the provisions of the Blue Book (contract form for dredging and melioration) and the Red Book (contract form for construction and engineering works) will favor simple and transparent procurement procedures and establish clear operating rules for international dredging and engineering companies.

FIDIC welcomes USPA’s active position to improve its project and tender documentation in accordance with international FIDIC standards. Our Association will provide all the necessary assistance and on this issue,” said Yana Shchigurova, the President of the Association of Engineers-Consultants of Ukraine.

International Federation of Consulting Engineers (FIDIC, Fédération Internationale Des Ingénieurs-Conseils) is one of the oldest international associations in the field of investment and construction. The main activity of the federation is development of standard conditions for contracts to regulate the relations of participants in international kind of activities. The Federation was established in 1913.

The Association of Consulting Engineers of Ukraine is the only authorized representative of FIDIC in Ukraine.
