Business & Finance

Florida Governor Rick Scott visited JAXPORT’s Blount Island Marine Terminal last week to discuss his plans for investing further in state transportation and seaport projects during the coming year.

Scott recently proposed a $10.8 billion transportation budget, including $176 million for Florida ports.

The governor was joined by JAXPORT CEO Brian Taylor, members of the International Longshoremen’s Association and Northeast Florida elected officials as he highlighted the results of recent port-related investments and the creation of quality employment opportunities.

JAXPORT has just released this video in which the governor highlights importance of investing in port infrastructure.
