Port of Hanstholm Expansion on the Way

Business & Finance

The Port of Hanstholm, Denmark, has decided to announce a public tender for the expansion and development of the port.

The tender documents concerning expansion of the port were released last week, following the approval of the Hanstholm Havn Board in late January.

The expansion project includes development of the basins, hinterland, quay walls, water depth, entrance width and the reduction in wave disturbance.

According to the port, all the design works regarding the above-mentioned expansion, including both the wave model and sedimentation models, will be carried out by the Hanstholm Havn.

The port of Hanstholm has allocated a budget of approximately $70 million for the expansion works. The construction period is expected to run for three years – starting spring 2018 with an expected completion in 2020.

The deadline for sending proposals is March 7th 2017.
