CCCC Shanghai Dredging Wins Qiupu River Contract

CCCC Shanghai Dredging, a subsidiary of China Communications Construction Company Ltd, has won a contract for the survey and design of the Qiupu River channel regulation. 

The project involves the preliminary design of auxiliary works such as channel dredging, protective beach and revetment construction, mud dumping area, anchorage ground, navigation mark construction and navigation-obstructing bridge demolition.

This contract will also include topographic and channel section mapping based on existing data, detailed geological survey within the design scope and assistance in follow-up technical service.

The Qiupu River is one of Anhui’s 12 rivers included in the national plan for important tributary regulation.

The project is located in Chizhou, Anhui Province, with a full length of 35.2 kilometers and a total investment of some 500 million yuan (around $76 million).
