Port of Bordeaux Dredging Tender Released

Business & Finance

The Port of Bordeaux last week issued a tender for dredging works along the estuary’s access channels.

The project is aimed to provide safe navigation for vessels entering and exiting the port.

This will allow the port to improve its maritime access and adapt to the changing global fleet and its terminals accommodate ships of larger size.

The project calls for dredging of the navigation channel of one part of the Passe de Richard to the Passe de Bellerive, and the other part from the Passe de Chambrette to the Terminal due Verdon-sur-Mer.

It will take approximately 16 months to complete deepening of the access channels.

The deadline for submitting proposals is January 22nd 2016.
